Armenian Spellchecker for Google Chrome — Config Guide



Purpose of this guide
This guide will show you how to configure the Google Chrome web browser on the desktop in order to enable its Armenian spellchecker.
These instructions have been tested on Windows 10 with version 75.0 of Google Chrome, the latest version as of this writing.

Prerequisites
As of version 75.0 (released in June 2019), Google Chrome for the Windows and Linux desktop operating systems comes built-in with an Armenian spellchecker based on HySpell. You need to a follow a few simple steps in order to enable it.
Note that at this time, the Armenian spellchecker is not supported on Chrome for macOS, because Chrome on macOS uses the spellchecker provided by the operating system.
If you already have Chrome installed, make sure it’s the latest version by following these instructions:

Otherwise, download and install Google Chrome for free from https://www.google.com/chrome/.
Configuration
- On your computer, open Google Chrome.
- At the top right, click More
- Click Settings.
- Scroll to the bottom of the list and click Advanced.
- In the Languages section, click on the Language pane to reveal the language preferences.
- Click Add languages.
- Select Armenian – հայերէն from the list, and click Add.
- Enable the Spell check option, and make sure that Basic spell check is selected..
- Configuration is now complete. You may close the Settings tab.
